New Responsibilities for Armstrong, Dunn, Garrison and Morris at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan

DETROIT, July 17, 2006 - Four Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan management employees have new responsibilities as the company continues working to enhance service to its stakeholders and bring innovative products to market:
- Brian Armstrong was named vice president of Stakeholder Experience and Blue Cross Blue Shield Association Relations. Previously, he served as the company’s director of national accounts. Armstrong will interact with members, group customers, agents, hospitals, physicians and other key stakeholders about how the company can continue to provide services that meet their expectations. He will also be the company’s primary liaison with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
- John Dunn was named vice president, corporate actuary. He previously served as the company's director and corporate actuary, actuarial services. Dunn oversees capital planning and management, financial analysis, benefit cost analysis, and actuarial support for Medicare. Dunn's new responsibilities will include underwriting of national accounts and actuarial support of individual business.
- Linda Garrison was named vice president of Ford, Visteon and Severstal accounts. She is responsible for overseeing these customer relationships. Garrison previously served as interim vice president for the accounts, and prior to that as the company's director of Ford program administration.
- Brian Morris was named vice president, pricing actuary. He previously served as the company's director of rate filings and pricing. Morris is responsible for developing pricing strategy and also will be supporting new product development.
