DETROIT, Aug. 12, 2009 - For the third straight year, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan has received the Federal Employee Program Plan of Excellence designation from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. Only a small number of Blues plans have ever been able to achieve this recognition for three consecutive years.
The national designation recognizes the Michigan Blues' outstanding performance in the timeliness and accuracy of their customer service and claims processing, member satisfaction, and benefit and administrative cost-containment strategies for 84,000 federal government employees and their dependents in Michigan.
The award recognizes the dedication and commitment provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan employees.
The Michigan Blues' Federal Employee Program administers the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association's benefit plan to U.S. federal employees in Michigan.
