Health checks

Every year, ask your doctor about these wellness checks. You may need some of them more than once a year.

  • Update your asthma action plan
  • Review your quick-relief and long-term control medicines
  • Take a pulmonary function test
  • Get a flu shot

Also, check with your doctor to see if your pneumonia shot is up to date.

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the lungs and airways. When inflammation and swelling of the airways happen, it’s difficult for air to get in and out of the lungs. Our asthma program is part of our Disease Management program. We want to help you understand asthma and learn how to live well with it.
