Bariatric Centers of Excellence
Established in 2006, the Bariatric Centers of Excellence program includes a limited network of hospitals that may provide bariatric surgery services to BCN members. All referrals for bariatric surgery require BCN plan approval and, in order for the service to be covered, may only be performed at a Bariatric Center of Excellence.

*The center is in the BCN Advantage network for Medicare members.
BCN Advantage members must select a CMS-approved facility that is also part of the BCN Advantage network. BCN Advantage members may go to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital – Warren Campus, Hurley Medical Center, Mercy Health Partners, Spectrum Health Blodgett Campus, St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights or William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak for bariatric surgery.
