Centers of Excellence
Blue Care Network has designated Centers of Excellence for cardiac care and bariatric surgery. The Center of Excellence designation tells members and physicians that the facility has had better outcomes and fewer complications and has met our rigorous quality criteria.
All members of BCN plans participate in the Centers of Excellence program. Please note the following two program exceptions:
- People with Medicare coverage may only have bariatric surgery at a facility approved by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. For a list of hospitals approved by CMS, please visit the CMS Web site.
- Not all of the Centers of Excellence are in the BCN Advantage provider network. The following lists identify those Centers of Excellence that participate with BCN Advantage. Members of BCN Advantage must use one of these centers.
