Other health insurance coverage
If you, your spouse or your dependents have more than one type of health insurance coverage, we coordinate benefits so you get the maximum payment on your claims.
You may be eligible for coordination of benefits if:
- You are covered by Blue Care Network but also have health care or prescription drug coverage through your spouse’s employer.
- Someone in your family is covered by Medicare and has Blue Care Network coverage to pay for services not covered by Medicare.
- Your children are covered by your Blue Care Network contract and also have coverage through their other parent’s health care plan.
- Your spouse is employed and has coverage through his or her employer in addition to your Blue Care Network coverage.

Other types of insurance coverage
You may be eligible for coordination of benefits under Other Party Liability if:
- You have been in an auto accident or injury related to a vehicle/motorcycle
- You have a Workers’ Compensation claim
- You have been injured at a place of business or someone else’s home
- Dog bite or assault
