Blue Care Network uses specialized networks to provide durable medical equipment and laboratory services to members. Your primary care physician determines what you need and writes a prescription. Certain prescriptions require Blue Care Network authorization.
Durable medical equipment
Medical equipment for diabetic patients (such as glucose monitors) and supplies (such as lancets and strips) are considered durable medical equipment and may be covered as part of your medical benefit.

Laboratory Services
We contract with Joint Venture Hospital Laboratories to provide clinical laboratory services. This partnership offers statewide access to more than 80 hospitals and 200 service centers that provide 24-hour access to a full range of laboratory services.
