No matter where you are — in the United States or in another country — you are always covered for emergency care.
In the United States, go to the nearest hospital emergency room or call 911. Please notify your primary care physician within 24 hours of your emergency treatment so he or she can coordinate your follow-up care.
Outside the United States go to the nearest hospital emergency room. You may be asked to pay at the time you receive care. We will reimburse you if the situation meets our criteria for emergency care. Get an itemized bill and any medical records you can obtain to expedite payment.
