BCN Advantage HMO-POS℠ plans for large groups

Haven’t found the plan that offers the right retiree benefits at the right price yet? Well, now you have. If your group has 100 or more Medicare-eligible active employees or retirees, we’ll work with you to design a custom BCN Advantage plan that meets your needs and fits your retiree health care budget.

You may wish to offer benefits that are as close to their active employees’ benefits as possible. To help you do this, you’ll have the opportunity to amend benefits like:

Office visits
Emergency room visits
Urgent care coverage
Skilled nursing
Hearing (optional benefit)

You also have the option to purchase prescription drug and hearing coverage through Blue Care Network in addition to dental or vision coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.

To provide your retirees with creditable coverage, you can add a prescription drug plan that provides the same, or better, coverage than Medicare Part D’s standard benefits. With creditable coverage through your group plan, your retirees won’t have to pay a late enrollment penalty if they choose to enroll in a Part D plan in the future.

The references to BCN Advantage HMO-POS Evidence of Coverage and riders on this website are intended as an overview of BCN Advantage HMO-POS group products. This is not a contract. An official description of benefits is contained in applicable BCN Advantage Evidence of Coverage and riders. Payment amounts are based on the BCN-approved amount, less any applicable deductible and/or copayment amounts required by the plan. This coverage is provided pursuant to a contract with the federal government. Services must be provided or arranged by the member’s primary care physician or health plan.

BCN Advantage HMO-POS is a health plan with a Medicare contract and is open to all Medicare beneficiaries with both Medicare Part A and Part B who enroll as part of a group. The group sponsor or member must continue to pay the Part B premium. Members must use BCN Advantage HMO-POS providers for covered services. Benefits are subject to exclusions and limitations. Our contract with the federal government is renewed annually; the availability of coverage beyond the current contract year is not guaranteed.
